The Drum Filters are fully automatic water filters for fishponds.

The water enters the drum from the entrance chamber and then flows into a screen that covers the drum. The screen is stainless steel 60 micron, so waste particles that are 0.06 mm in size or larger cannot pass through the chamber, because these waste particles are trapped in the inner side of the drum, which will reduce the output flow of the clean water through the drum.

This will cause a change in the water level inside and outside of the drum. The level switch will detect this change in the water level and send a signal to the controller to activate the cleaning process. The device itself decides when the spray nozzles should clean the screen depending on how dirty it is. Then the dirt is washed off in the drain. The filtered water flows through the grid and is then transferred to the Biological Filter.

The series “Combi” filters combine a mechanical filtration chamber and a biological filtration chamber so that the water treatment is complete before it travels back to the pond. The Drum filters are self-cleaning and do not require additional cleaning.

It is necessary though, to periodically check the normal operation of the filter. The use of a Drum Filter is probably the best method of cleaning the water of your pond which ensures crystal clear water with the minimum effort on your part.
